A Galentine’s-inspired Brunch at Eureka Irvine
OC Mommy Blogger Tribe finally launches!
Found in the nook of a plaza in the University Center of Irvine, you’ll find one of the cutest locations for the Eureka Restaurant chain. The atmosphere of the restaurant had a laid back rustic feeling to it.
We were graciously hosted for our very own Galentine’s brunch—a special, first meeting for our OC chapter for the National Mommy Blogger Tribe that recently launched this year!
They have a wide and rotating range of craft beers chosen individually at each location as well as artisanal spirits. As you may or may not know—they are quite known for their drinks!
Over Valentine’s weekend, they served a gin-focused drink known as the “Love Potion.“ Their creativity in their drinks is what I think makes them stand out from most local restaurants. And the flavor was there to match, too—as most of us grabbed a Love Potion at the table.
Other notable drinks for brunch include their popular Mimosa Flight and a delicious signature lavender iced tea for a non-alcoholic choice.
While you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, you’ll want to check out my top three items from the weekend brunch menu:
1. Bread Pudding French Toast:
This was my top choice for the weekend brunch menu! It was so delicious, topped with fruits and their own syrup which reminded me of eating strawberries in condensed milk when I was a kid. The texture was very soft and crispy at the same time. I could probably eat two of these on my own!
2. Fried Chicken and Sweet Cornbread:
First of all, give me chicken and waffles any day..so I already knew this combo of fried chicken and sweet cornbread was going to be a hit with me. There’s not too many places that have this on the brunch menu, so it was a delightful surprise!
3. Avocado Toast:
I‘m Californian, I’m a sucker for avocado toast. It’s just not brunch if this item isn‘t on the menu. This was probably one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had for brunch because it isn’t basic at all. It’s garnished deliciously to give it extra flavor—as you know most restaurants will just give you toast with literally the avocado on top and a slice or two of tomato.
Check out Eureka Irvine’s Instagram @EurekaIrvine and make sure to make them one of your brunch stops for the weekend. Their tables and booths are perfect for small and large parties—and are extremely child friendly.
